Excellent beginner's camera

Just got this thus i am not an professional however. 1st impressions:
-Easy to use, failed to ought to scan the manual (only the primary pages as to not damage the battery).
-Very sensible quality in low lightweight environments.
-Because it's totally compact in size, fits within the palm of your hand, and it's light-weight.
-Good zoom (30x) that helps you to film from afar.
Quality of the film: excellent, though since it's my 1st camcorder I don't have comparison parameters.
Battery: My solely gripe to date is that the battery doesn't last long, however it charges terribly quickly thus what i am going to do simply|is simply} get a other to own in my pocket just in case.
Interface: It doesn't have a USB association however a FireWire port thus i am downloading on to my laptop. an alternative choice I explored was connecting it to my Samsung DVR-120 DVD Recorder, where I downloaded my film and burned it on to a DVD-R.
