a fantastic mini-camcorder!

I was probing for a reasonable camcorder with prime quality audio and video, digital download capabilities (i.e., miniDV), and smart portability. i attempted out various camcorders and skim up on several additional, and that i eventually settled on the Panasonic PVDV103. the primary distinguishing feature is that it's seriously tiny -- noticeably smaller than the comparable models from Canon and JVC. It fits rather well within the palm of my average-sized hand, and most the controls then simply fall naturally underneath the fingers. As a result, it is a pleasure to use even for extended hand-held filmimng sessions. The audio is extremely clean, in contrast to the Canon ZR-series, and therefore the video has wonderful, natural colours. Downloading a picture via Firewire is straightforward and trouble-free. I solely have 3 minor quibbles with this camcorder: 1) it does not have the Sony-style night vision capabilities for filming in dim or dark situations; 2) its optical zoom is 10X, that is sweet however not superb; and 3) its image stabilization is not quite as solid as Canon's or Sony's. All in all, for the worth (and even for tons of more), i do not assume there's a higher all-around camcorder.

Good tape, nice price

I've ordered twice from this vendor (total of three ten-packs) and are utterly glad with the standard of the tape and their prompt shipping. I've used these tapes in my business for multiple comes, shooting on an expert Sony DVcam camcorder. I've had no issues in the slightest degree. and also the value is nice, obviously. i will be ordering a lot of of same from this vendor soon.

NOTE: I even have learned through years of expertise that with ANY whole of videotape it's wise to "re-pack" the tape before shooting on it, ideally in an edit deck. quick and cheap fix to distressing problem

Recorder completely out of commission, missed recording of one of my daughters first dance solos, and several other events, stress over not able to replace due to $ right now. The video finish of this camera has been quite expected and also the zoom is outstanding and correct. It having the power of firewire and USB outputs has additionally been a bonus. I even have had this camera for quite a year and it's performed flawlessly. i favor the texture, the benefit of use, the choices, the zoom, the still camera options, playback options, titling options, actually, what is to not like. 2 minor drawbacks, one mentioned on top of, the opposite very little unstable when absolutely zoomed, however on a tripod, that's not a problem. i do know what quantity i favor it and believe that anyone else would too.
